Rugby union player Kurtley Beale's legal team has received the brief of evidence against him as he prepares to fight sexual assault charges.charged in January with two counts of sexually touching another person without consent, inciting another to sexually touch without consent and sexual intercourse without consentBeale is accused of sexually assaulting a 28-year-old woman at the Beach Road Hotel in Bondi on December 17.

The case was mentioned briefly in Waverley Local Court on Wednesday, when Beale was not required to appear. His lawyer Lauren MacDougall said she has received the brief of evidence and the prosecuting solicitor has too.Beale's matter moves to Downing Centre Local Court for charge certification on June 15, but he will only be required to attend if the prosecution case is ready to proceed.He has been ordered to not contact witnesses and report to police daily.He won the 2011 John Eales medal for player of the year.
