A man allegedly swapping number plates has triggered a police chase involving an officer being flung off a car and shots being fired by police in Sydney.
The incident began in Lalor Park where a man was allegedly swapping the number plates on a black Holden Commodore about 8.15am. "As a result of that, police made the decision to stop that vehicle and it was during that stop a police officer was thrown across the front of a police vehicle and a number of shots were fired at that point in time," Waddell said.A 21-year-old man got out of the car and was arrested just before the car was driven on the North West T-Way.
Waddell said the driver was complaining of soreness to his neck, which was consistent with injuries suffered from his driving.
