Globally, WeWork has 425 locations in 100 cities and 27 countries, with more than 400,000 members.
WeWork, the global office co-working giant, is launching a regional expansion at two locations outside of the City of Vancouver.
SHAPE, the real estate company behind The Amazing Brentwood, has partnered with co-owners Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan and L Catterton Real Estate on the massive residential, commercial and entertainment project. By the end of 2019, WeWork will have seven locations in Vancouver and Burnaby, marking two consecutive years of more than doubling their local footprint. Their more recent additions include space at the Marine Gateway building and at 2015 Main Street in Vancouver, which is expected to open this June.
The company says it is no longer focused on providing workspace for just freelancers and start-ups but is also becoming a popular home for Fortune 500 companies to set up sizeable offices. In some cases, they’ve handed over entire floors or groups of floors to a single company.
