OC Transpo will also get rid of 117 aging buses from its fleet of 855 buses, but Amilcar promised that wouldn’t affect service, which she also vowed to bring to 99.5 per cent reliability. Current reliability hovers around 97-98 per cent with anywhere from 100 runs cancelled on a normal day rising to as many as 400 or more runs scrapped “on a bad day,” Amilcar said. The service runs roughly 8,000 bus routes on a weekday.
