ERNEST JOHN OBIENA crossed border from Germany to France to compete in the third edition of the Perche en Or indoor meet in Roubaix on Saturday.
Obiena debuted in the indoor season with a silver medal finish on a 5.77-meter effort at the Internationales Springer-Meeting in Cottbus, Germany, only on Thursday. Obiena will also compete in the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships set February 10 to 12 in Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan, hoping not only to win his first indoor continental title, but also to make the Paris 2024 Olympics qualifying standard of 5.82 meters.
