Now in her 20th appearance at the national women’s curling championship, the Yellowknife native seems to be in winning form — and loving it.
“I’m sure I’ve had 14 scored against me at some point,” said Galusha, with a laugh, when asked if she’s ever scored 14 in a game. “I’m not sure I’ve ever scored 14 … maybe, but probably not.”

The win moved them to the top of Pool B standings with a 3-1 record, sharing the lead with Krista McCarville’s Northern Ontario crew, which is also at 3-1 after a morning 8-6 victory over New Brunswick’s Andrea Kelly . That pool also includes the likes of superstars Rachel Homan, skipping the Ontario champion, and Jennifer Jones, the Manitoba representative. Homan and Jones faced each other on Monday afternoon.
