Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang unveiled four new GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs at CES 2025, highlighting advancements in AI-driven rendering and performance.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang revealed four new GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs at CES 2025 : the 5070 ($549), 5070 Ti ($749), 5080 ($999), and 5090 ($1,999). These GPUs are built on the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, which emphasizes advancements in AI-driven rendering, including neural shaders, digital humans, geometry, and lighting. The flagship RTX 5090 packs 92 billion transistors, surpassing the 76 billion in its predecessor, the 4090.

NVIDIA claims the 5090 offers twice the performance of the 4090 thanks to architectural innovations and DLSS 4, an AI-powered upscaling technology. It introduces Multi Frame Generation, using AI to generate up to three frames per rendered frame, boosting frame rates. Combined with DLSS technologies, performance can increase up to 8x over traditional rendering while maintaining responsiveness with NVIDIA Reflex technology. Beyond DLSS 4, the 50 series GPUs will leverage AI for shaders and ray-tracing. NVIDIA also showcased NVIDIA ACE technologies, enabling game characters to act like human players. ACE-powered autonomous characters are being integrated into KRAFTON's games. NVIDIA emphasized the GPUs' potential for consumers beyond gaming, including livestreaming, content creation, and generative AI functions. Applications range from LLMs and vision language models to image generation, speech, embedding models, PDF extraction, and computer vision
