The Pulai Umno chief says Malays in the area are unhappy with the economy and Umno’s cooperation with Pakatan Harapan.
Pulai Umno chief Nur Jazlan Mohamed said non-Malay voters make up the majority in Pulai and need to turn up in force on polling day to balance the dissatisfaction among Malay voters.
However, Nur Jazlan said the shift in support to Perikatan Nasional would not be as significant as that seen at the recent Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu state elections. “Non-Malay voters make up the majority in Pulai, so they need to turn up to balance the dissatisfaction among Malay voters,” he said.
