Early figures show Labor and the Liberals are neck-and-neck in the upcoming NSW State Election, as Sky News Australia breaks down everything voters need to know about how and when to cast their ballots.
The Liberal Party, led by Premier Dominic Perrottet, is facing tough competition from Labor, headed by Chris Minns.
Labor was predicted to win the most seats in parliament, with 38 per cent of sampled voters backing them in the election, according to latest figures by Resolve Strategic.Independents were at 13 per cent while Greens were at 11 per cent.While Labor was set to secure the most seats overall, Mr Minns still trails in the preferred premier stakes.
According to the Resolve Strategic poll, Mr Perrottet was favoured by 38 per cent of voters, Mr Minns by 34 per cent and 28 per cent were undecided.Mr Perrottet has most notably promised voters $1.5 billion for a Create Clean Energy Superpower Fund, greater support for renters as well as building and upgrading 20 hospitals if re-elected.
Meanwhile, Mr Minns has pledged his own rental support plan, capping toll road charges to $60 per week, abolishing and reducing stamp duty for first home buyers and upgrades to public transport systems.the Sky News / The Daily Telegraph People’s ForumAs the state elections nears, Sky News Australia has compiled a complete breakdown of what voters will need to know ahead of March 25.Voters can submit their ballots in person at polling stations on Saturday March 25 from 8am to 6pm.
Those who have not registered through the Australian Electoral Commission’s website to vote can still submit their ballots as a “declaration vote”.There are a range of options for people to submit their votes this election.
