It was a fiery day in parliament the morning after Premier Chris Minns sacked Tim Crakanthorp, the Member for Newcastle and Hunter MP, over a "serious breach of conduct" involving his family land holdings.
The heart of the issue is some 24 properties including a building in Broadmeadow - a suburb in Newcastle - bought by Crakanthorp's wife from her father in February this year. This has sparked questions from the opposition about whether Crakanthorp had a material benefit rendered to him or his family as a result of not declaring the properties - which Minns flagged was a possibility yesterday.
"Will you be upfront with the people of NSW and let them know what those actions and matters were?" liberal leader Mark Speakman asked.
