A NSW MP who sensationally defected from Labor in October has accused the party of attempting to “hoodwink” voters in the state by “suppressing their real agenda.”

Bankstown MP Tania Mihailuk made the accusation a day after announcing she was joining One Nation and in a bid to be their upper house candidate in the upcoming March election.

Offer ends 31 October, 2023 Speaking to Sky News Australia about her reasons for joining One Nation – whose NSW leader Mark Latham she previously called a “buffoon” – Ms Mihailuk said the current NSW Labor party was not the party she had joined 27 years ago.The former Bankstown mayor, who was elected to NSW parliament in 2011, said her former party colleagues held views that were out of step with the community she served.
