and three other highways in Peninsular Malaysia are IJM’s NPE and Besraya, as well as the Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway . All of which have recently announced their respective initiations of the open payment system for toll fares. This brings the total number of highways actively testing the system to eight, with the other four expected to follow suit in the very near future.
Like the aforementioned locations, the OPS lane at NPE, Besraya and DUKE lets you pay your toll fares with your debit or credit cards. Similarly, the installed terminals currently accept payments through Mastercard, VISA, and MyDebit. To try it out for yourself, be sure to look out for the specific test lanes which are indicated by the signages above them.
The OPS terminals are installed beside existing TnG card readers at designated booths, making it easier for you to revert to an alternative payment method should one of them fail. That being said, always make sure that you have enough credit to pay for tolls. With eight out of the 12 planned highways in Peninsular Malaysia now already testing the OPS approach, this leaves the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway , Guthrie Corridor Expressway , Penang Bridge , and Butterworth-Kulim Expressway . Seeing that the system’s implementation is scheduled to begin next month, it is very likely that the remaining locations will announce their respective trials in the coming days or so.
