The Department of Health and Wellness doesn’t provide a specific timeframe for death updates unless they have occurred in the past week. But the department has said in general that most have occurred within the past few months. There were 20 new hospital admissions related to COVID for the seven-day period ending Monday, according to the Health Department’s weekly update of its COVID-19 online dashboard.As of Tuesday, Nova Scotia hospitals had 21 COVID patients, including one in intensive care.
The newly reported deaths bring the total during the pandemic in Nova Scotia to 819, including 334 since July 2022. The median age of those who have died from COVID is 84.
