STORY CONTINUES BELOW THESE SALTWIRE VIDEOSThe RCMP first posted information about the death in Five Islands, a small community on the north shore of the Minas Basin, on social media Monday night, telling people that Wharf Road was closed at Highway 2 and asking them to avoid the area.
Cpl. Chris Marshall said Tuesday morning that officers from Colchester and Cumberland countes, were responding to a 911 call about shots fired on the road, which ends at a campground and only has a few houses with no other exits except for the intersection at Highway 2. The RCMP's police dog service and members of the emergency response team also responded, but a suspect was not located and no arrests had been made as of early Tuesday morning.
Marshall said the he believes the victim was found outside at the end of the road. He didn't have information on whether the victim was male or female,
