Mayor Nancy Dicks of New Glasgow, right, and past Mayor of Trenton Glen MacKinnon will be co-chairs of the Nova Scotia 55+ Games. - ContributedThe 2023 Nova Scotia 55+ Games - taking place in Pictou County - has announced this year’s co-chairs.Nancy Dicks is currently in her second term as Mayor of the Town of New Glasgow, with eight years of experience before that on Town Council.
Glen MacKinnon is the former Mayor of Trenton. He was a long-time employee with Sobeys and comes from a large family of athletes. A champion for sport, he is closely involved with Softball Nova Scotia and local pickleball leagues. The 2023 Nova Scotia 55+ Games will be taking place on Sept. 20 - 23. The last time Pictou County hosted was in 2015.
