Warner’s furious decision to withdraw from the process to have his ban lifted turned the match into a sideshow at times while its impact on his form also came into view. But the batsman’s move to protect his family from a public hearing has been thrust back into the spotlight by new revelations after the win over the West Indies.
“I confronted them and like any group of men who have been drinking, they were weak, they were gutless. They didn’t own up to what they did and the man who was yelling this abuse was hiding behind his friend. “The thing that really disappointed me was one the fact that they thought it was funny. Two that they couldn’t own up to their mistake,” Candice said.
“ ‘you need to understand that this is not ok, we won’t tolerate this, this is unacceptable. You need to learn to stand up for yourself and this why’.”Cricket Australia via Getty Images “It’s been a difficult one for him, it’s been a difficult week. David has said he’s done and dusted and get on with it.”
