Not easy to dismantle DNB monopoly in 5G rollout, says Johari FMTNews
Johari Gani said the government does not need to start all over again on the 5G rollout as doing so would incur unnecessary costs and commitments.
Johari said unless no one other than DNB can do it and if the government thinks it needs to be in control, then the monopoly is acceptable. The company has come under criticism for purportedly having a monopoly on 5G services and has faced challenges in recruiting network operators to roll out the infrastructure
