Northern B.C. MP speaks out on sawmill closures in Parliament

MP Taylor Bachrach called on the federal government to support families affected by Canfor closures

He called on the federal government to help Houston families and businesses affected by Canfor’s closure of its sawmill, announced last month.

“It’s going to put 300 mill employees out of work -- that's 10 per cent of the populations. And it will affect hundreds more who work for contractors and local businesses.” "The BC government is already on the ground, working with the people of Houston to find solutions. We need the federal government to step up and play a role as well," said Bachrach.
