Memorial Gardens transformed to host major curling event
The transformation is complete as the North Bay Memorial Gardens is now covered in pebbled ice in anticipation for another major curling event.
Rick Miller, the co-chair for the event, says the preparations are complete and now it's time for some curling. Organizers say ticket sales for the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling event have been solid, but no sellouts yet. "There are still lots of tickets available for all the draws so people can walk up and buy them for any draw or they can go online and buy them all through the box office." While COVID-19 put a halt to fan-filled events like this, Miller says that may have helped create additional excitement for this event
