Ottawa Public Health is reporting zero COVID-19 deaths over the long weekend.

The latest data on the overall surveillance of COVID-19, influenza, and RSV show COVID-19 activity for the week of Feb. 12 to 18 was similar to the week prior, with high wastewater levels and a moderate testing positivity rate. However, there is no wastewater data for the flu or RSV this week because of the Family Day holiday.

Testing positivity rates for those two viruses are low, with only 0.2 per cent of tests returning positive results and 2.6 per cent for RSV, down from 6.4 per cent the week before.OPH hospitalization figures only represent Ottawa residents who are in hospital because of an active case of COVID-19. Local hospitals report higher figures, which include patients who were admitted for reasons other than COVID-19 but have tested positive and patients who are not from Ottawa.
