The National Historical Commission of the Philippines announced its lineup of activities for the commemoration of Rizal Day on December 30, marking the 128th death anniversary of Gat Jose Rizal.According to a Saturday report by dzBB's Sam Nielsen, the NHCP is inviting the public to participate in three key events.The first event is the Nationwide Flag-Raising and Wreath-Laying Ceremonies. These will take place at 7 a.m.
Meanwhile, the workshop and exhibit “Hagod Rizal” is a commemorative exhibit and portraiture workshop that will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Museo ni Jose Rizal in Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila.The NHCP is also encouraging local government units nationwide to organize and join related celebrations on the same day.Meanwhile, the National Museum announced the unveiling of “Sleeping Josephine,” a sculpture of Jose Rizal’s wife, Josephine Bracken, at the National Museum of Fine Arts.
