Steelers, Bills, Chiefs our best bets to redeem themselves after Week 1 losses
: You might not want to mention you’re from Canada if you’re in Pittsburgh these days. Not that the residents have anything against visitors from north of the border but because Steelers fans have to be furious at the mere mention of the word Canada. After Week 1’s awful 30-7 loss at home to the Niners, their team has now gone 49 consecutive games without reaching 400 total yards of offence. For 36 of those games Pittsburgh’s O.C. has been Matt Canada, who took the job in 2021.
Heyward has registered at least 10 sacks in each of the last two years, but he is equally if not more important to the Pittsburgh run defence, a point emphasized when he was off the field as Christian McCaffrey broke a 65-yard TD run. It doesn’t get any easy for the Steelers run defence with Nick Chubb coming to town … Also suffering a huge loss was the Browns, whose right tackle, Jack Conklin went down with a season-ending knee injury.
