JOHN'S, N.L. — If it wasn’t for the long line outside the Newfoundland Sausage Company on Saturdays, those unfamiliar with butcher William Dray would have likely missed the tiny store on Southside Road.

“But eventually, it gets to the point where you’re kind of letting people down, and therefore, letting yourself down,” he said. “The way we see it, let’s really do it, do it our best, share it and create a community, create a conversation,” Dray said.But it’s also about communicating how the meat industry can be done in an ethical and sustainable way.

“It’s one of the oldest traced symbols of what we now refer to as the letter A, which further connects the brand to the Hon. John Anderson, who over 100 years ago stood where Andersons stands now,” the release said. Part of running with that torch is turning the building into a “one-stop shop,” of sorts, Howard said.
