“Sometimes people can think about taking Newfoundland lightly, but, as they can see, we have already won three games, so I think they should be worried about us and don’t take us for granted,” Newfoundland and Labrador player Molly Healy told SaltWire in an interview after the P.E.I. game. “For the last couple of years, we have been pretty comfortable playing New Brunswick and P.E.I., so we had some expectations there, but 3-0 puts us in a real good spot going into the weekend.”
“We are on that path, and I think one more win will secure that,” added Mark. “We have to focus on that.” Molly credited Newfoundland and Labrador’s success to a total team effort, adding the team’s success is building confidence amongst the players.
