An officer stopped him Monday in the Peter Street and King Street area of the town after noticing his vehicle had an expired licence plate sticker. When the officer approached the man, they say they smelled alcohol on his breath and noticed the open case of beer.The 58-year-old was arrested and charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus, operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit HTA, fail to surrender insurance card, fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle GTA and drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available.
