Fasching’s new one-way deal carries a $775,000 NHL cap hit for the next two seasons.
The New York Islanders have signed forward Hudson Fasching to a two-year contract extension, the club announced Monday afternoon.
The Islanders did not disclose the terms of Fasching’s new contract, but CapFriendly reported its value as being $775,000 for both the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons. The Apple Valley, Minn. product was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer upon the conclusion of his previous one-year deal.— New York Islanders The Los Angeles Kings originally selected Fasching in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
After bouncing between the NHL and AHL with the Coyotes for four seasons, Fasching signed with the Islanders in 2022 as a Group 6 unrestricted free agent. He established himself as an NHL regular on Lane Lambert’s squad down the stretch after beginning the 2022-23 season with the AHL’s Bridgeport Islanders.
