NEW WATERFORD — The New Waterford Minor Hockey Association will host its inaugural Heritage Classic tournament this weekend. The four-day, 43-game tournament will run from Friday to Monday at the New Waterford and District Community Centre. Some games will also be held at the Whitney Pier Community Rink.
The event will feature games in the under-11 'A', under-13 'B' and under-15 'A' divisions and include teams from across the province. The tournament will begin on Friday at noon with the Sydney Steelers playing the Cape Breton County Islanders.
