Ballooning demand for the diabetes drug has triggered global shortages.
They are also advised to switch patients already receiving the drug to an alternative, if possible, as supplies run low.
The shortage is expected to last for the remainder of this year and throughout 2024, according to the drug's manufacturer Novo Nordisk.
