The death of a German backpacker in a mower accident on a Queensland farm is set to come under the scrutiny of a coronial inquest. 7NEWS
Jennifer Kohl died when a mower rolled onto her at an avocado farm in the Gold Coast hinterland.The inquest will look into what caused the mower to roll and whether employers “implemented appropriate workplace health and safety measures in relation to the use of the mower on the property”, according to the court.
It will also explore “whether there was a delay in the dispatch of emergency services, and if so, could this have been avoided, and would it have made any difference to the outcome”.Coroner Carol Lee will oversee the hearings.If you’d like to view this content, please adjust your
