“It is time to act on this matter and we will try to make an application for a new police station and a new building,” said the Sarawak Police Commissioner.

The station was originally set up in 2004 in Jalan Lanang as a rest house for senior government officers.

“This is important to ensure that the police station is a safe place and people feel safe to make any complaint,” added Comm Mohd Azman. Comm Mohd Azman later attended iftar with Sungai Merah police personnel at its headquarters at Jalan Wawasan.
