Eskom says it has changed load shedding blocks and schedules in Gauteng.
Power utility Eskom says that new load shedding blocks and schedules have been implemented in Gauteng.
Effective from Monday, 6 November, Eskom in Gauteng has implemented new load shedding blocks across the province. The change affects all Eskom and municipal customers load shed directly by the power utility in Gauteng.“The alteration in the blocks and schedules follows the move by Eskom to hand over load shedding operations to City Power for most of its areas of supply which were previously load shed by Eskom,” the utility said.Due to the configuration of the network and other technical complexities, Eskom said that certain City Power customers will still be tied to Eskom’s load shedding operations.
“The two entities will keep exploring technical solutions that will enable City Power to take over the load shedding operations of its remaining customers. “City Power has its processes, systems and technical capacity in place to take over the added load shedding operations as part of the new schedule,” Eskom said. No, my salary will stay the sameAbsa Head of Global Markets Garth Klintworth unpacks the Absa Africa Financial Markets Index
