YYC Pickleball is a new indoor facility for Calgary pickleball enthusiasts. The facility features seven indoor courts with outdoor-quality surfacing, which are available for rentals, drop-in/open play sessions, tournaments and more. Paddles and balls can be rented from the facility’s equipment shop.
Inside this new sports complex, you’ll hear the familiar pop of a hollow ball hitting a hard racket. This is the sound of YYC Pickleball, a new indoor facility for Calgary pickleball enthusiasts. Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in North America thanks to the sport’s low-impact nature that makes it easy to try out. Pickleball is like a cross between badminton, tennis and ping pong, played with small paddles and a hollow, plastic ball.
The facility features seven indoor courts with outdoor-quality surfacing, which are available for hourly rentals, drop-in/open play sessions, tournaments and more. YYC Pickleball is also an International Pickleball Teaching Profession Association accredited facility and hosts classes for players with skills ranging from beginner to advanced. Paddles can be rented from the facility’s equipment shop for $5, while ball rentals are $3 for a set of three. You can also rent a pickleball serving machine to practice your swing
