HALIFAX, N.S. — An American art exhibition drawing heavy inspiration from Cape Breton will be leaving New York City for its new home in Nova Scotia next year.
"From her home for more than 50 years, Jonas has found inspiration in the environment that surrounds her: the woods, the Cape Breton coastline, Nova Scotian folklore, and the community of Inverness," said Sarah Moore Fillmore, CEO of AGNS. With Manhattan as a home base, Jonas has spent most of her summers in the highlands of Cape Breton since the early 1970s, creating work in the woods, on the beach and on the road.
