A major new upgrade has been produced by teams who between them have worked on productions for ABBA and Marvel.

“It’s almost like the show’s running live and you’re seeing everything happen live,” said chief executive John Hughes. “It’s one of the most unique spaces, certainly in Sydney and probably in Australia, as well.” The 50-minute show will run multiple times a day depending on demand, and opens to the public on December 22.Luna Park’s head of strategy and experiences Lucy Keeler said she wanted the revamped Big Top to be an incubator for the city’s creative industry, where specialists can experiment across genres and try new things.
