NESTLÉ Philippines partners with Mober to integrate electric trucks into its mid- and last-mile delivery operations, aiming to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
NESTLÉ Philippines, the world's largest food and beverage company, has partnered with Mober , a leading provider of green logistics services in the Philippines, to integrate electric vehicles (EVs) into its mid- and last-mile delivery operations. This collaboration supports Nestlé Philippines ' ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and aligns with its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives.
Mober will provide electric trucks, known as e-trucks, to service Nestlé Philippines' logistics needs across Metro Manila. To ensure smooth and sustainable operations, Mober has installed a dedicated 60 kWh EV charging station powered entirely by renewable electricity at Nestlé Philippines' Greater Manila Area Distribution Center in Meycauayan, Bulacan. 'At Mober, we strongly believe in taking decisive actions to reduce carbon emissions, and we are proud to support Nestlé in achieving its 2050 net-zero commitments,' stated Dennis Ng, CEO of Mober. 'With our eight electric trucks currently supporting Nestlé Philippines' operations, we are assisting them not only in minimizing their carbon footprint but also in setting a benchmark for the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.' Nestlé Philippines, which successfully transitioned to 100 percent renewable electricity across all its sites two years ahead of schedule, has set ambitious sustainability targets, including halving greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. 'Integrating cargo EVs into our distribution fleet is a key initiative in our efforts to transform our operations and reduce the carbon emissions associated with our supply chain,' said Anderson Martins, Nestlé Philippines' Supply Chain and Procurement Head. 'We aim to provide our consumers with the assurance that their favorite Nestlé products are produced and delivered using 100 percent renewable electricity,' Martins added.
