The OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro were launched in 2019 with Android 9.0 out of the box. After almost four years, the devices are getting their final OS upgrade with Android 12.
with OxygenOS 9.5 based on Android 9.0 has just gotten its final update to OxygenOS 12 which runs on Android 12. That’s a total of 3 major OS updates since it was first released over three years ago.
The OxygenOS 12 update was initially rolled out in October last year but it was stopped due to a network issue. After repacking it with December 2022 security patch, OnePlus now is pushing the update and they have confirmed that this will be the final update for their 2019 flagships. According to the changelog, the update improves system stability and performance as well as the stability of mobile network connections.which was launched with Android 10. OnePlus said that the OTA update is reaching out to a small percentage of users today and it will be rolled out to everyone in the coming days.
