The newly opened National Museum of the Philippines (NMP)-Davao has welcomed over 36,000 visitors since its December 1st opening.

The National Museum of the Philippines (NMP)- Davao has reported an impressive turnout of 36,478 visitors since its opening on December 1, 2024. The visitors included Dabawenyos, as well as local and international tourists, according to Ma. Corina T. Lopez, the museum's information officer. Lopez highlighted the museum’s location inside the People’s Park along Palma Gil and expressed excitement for more people to explore its exhibits.

Admission is free, with the only requirement being a valid ID, such as a student, employee, government, or national ID. The museum also offers group tours, where visitors can learn about the artifacts and artworks. For group tours, visitors are required to make reservations online via the museum's official email. Ma. Corina T. Lopez emphasized the importance of protecting the exhibits, reminding guests not to bring beverages, water containers, or tumblers into the museum to prevent potential damage to artifacts and artworks. Mini-fans are also prohibited, as the museum maintains strict temperature and humidity controls to preserve its collections. Lopez clarified that photography is permitted inside the museum, provided flash is not used, to avoid disrupting other visitors and potentially harming sensitive exhibits. However, she discouraged vlogging or recording TikTok videos within the premises to ensure a respectful and serene environment. The museum welcomes walk-in visitors daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first to fourth floors house the NMP-Davao exhibits, while the fifth floor has been designated for Museo Dabawenyo, which is yet to be relocated to the space.NMP-Davao stands as the fourth national museum in Mindanao and is recognized as the largest in the region
