KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 — Can national women’s diver Kimberly Bong raise her degree of difficulty ahead of the 2023 SEA Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, next month?
After having performed in the range of 1.0 to 2 1/2 degrees of difficulty before, the Sarawakian diver admitted that she wanted to challenge herself by trying out new dives so as to earn more points from the judges. “For me, I know my body well. So, I think it’s not a problem to increase the degree of difficulty in a short period,” she told reporters after winning gold in the women’s 3m springboard at the 58th Malaysia Invitational Age Group Diving Championships here, today.
On her performance today, Kimberly said she was nervous about today’s event as this was her first assignment since November.
