Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said he would 'take any advice' on how to improve coordination and laws to 'protect people' in the wake of the Wieambilla tragedy.
Mr Albanese confirmed the topic would be on the agenda during a press conference on Tuesday, just over a week after two police officers and a bystander were gunned down on a remote property in Wieambilla, about 300 kilometres north-west of Brisbane.
The Prime Minister said he would accept any advice from police and law enforcement ahead of next year's meeting. “I am certainly up for dialogue with the states and territories about how there can be a better national consistency and national information that can serve the interests of police going about their duty."
