The NASCAR Playoffs head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the Cup Series South Point 400 and Xfinity Series Ambetter Health 302. Both NASCAR series are starting the Round of 8 as the playoff intensity ramps up with just three races left before the championship race at Phoenix Raceway. The Craftsman Truck Series has the weekend off and will race again on Saturday, October 26 in the Baptist Health 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Chase Elliott has the record for the worst finish at a Cup Series Playoff race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway that won the championship the same season when he finished 22nd in 2020.Qualifying is key at Las Vegas. In 33 Cup Series races held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, eight race winners qualified on the front row, however seven of those winning drivers qualified second.
