Police have been told the man was swept into the water while rock fishing.
A man is in a critical condition after he was swept into the water while fishing at Maroubra.He was pulled from the water and treated at the scene before being taken to St George Hospital.Police are attempting to identify the man and locate his next of kin.
He is described as being of Asian appearance, about 160cm to 170cm tall, with a slim build, olive complexion, and black/grey hair.
