The 28-year-old had stopped a car bearing allegedly stolen number plates in Ascot when he was run over and dragged by the vehicle on June 8. Blanch told reporters.
His family on Monday released an emotional statement in which they remembered Mr Woods as a"funny, hard-working man who loved the West Coast Eagles".
