The Philippines is experiencing a variety of weather systems, resulting in widespread cloudy conditions and rainfall across the country. PAGASA warns of potential flash floods and landslides in affected areas.
Multiple weather systems are impacting various regions of the country, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration ( PAGASA ). In its daily weather forecast bulletin issued Friday afternoon, PAGASA reported that the Visayas, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Aurora are anticipated to experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the influence of a shear line.
The Northeast Monsoon, also known as Amihan, is expected to bring cloudy skies with rain over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the remainder of Central Luzon. Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon can anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.Furthermore, the easterlies will generate cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region, while the rest of Mindanao can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. PAGASA warns that flash floods or landslides may occur in certain affected areas as a consequence of these weather conditions. In addition, strong to gale-force winds accompanied by rough to very rough coastal waters are projected over Northern Luzon. Moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters are expected in Visayas and the eastern section of Central Luzon. The remaining regions of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas. Temperatures nationwide are forecast to range from a minimum of 24.3 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 29.8 degrees Celsius over the next 24 hours. Sunrise in Metro Manila is scheduled for 6:23 a.m. on Saturday.
