MRT-3 operations will resume on a limited capacity Monday, a week after it was shut down when 281 personnel contracted COVID-19.
Management said it assembled a sufficient number of employees who are "virus free" and could continue operations starting next week.
Those tested positive were MRT-3 depot and station personnel and employees of maintenance provider Sumitomo-MHI-TESP and its subcontractors, and other MRT-3 service providers including ticket sellers. All MRT-3 facilities including depot, stations and trains were disinfected during the temporary shutdown.
In addition, contact tracing will strictly be implemented. Passengers will be required to fill out health declaration forms before boarding the train.
