KUALA LUMPUR: The biker who is suspected of causing the death of a motorcyclist by going against the flow of traffic earlier this week has surrendered himself to the police.
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said that the 41-year-old suspect lodged a police report on the incident on Friday in Kajang.
"The man was on the way home to Kajang from Ampang but had gotten lost and decided to enter the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Highway against the flow of traffic. The suspect collided with the victim, leading to him also falling from his motorcycle. "He went home afterwards and said that he only knew of the case after news had spread on television and social media," he said."Checks showed that he suffered a broken shoulder, finger and other injuries to the shoulder and leg during the incident. Among the items seized was a motorcycle.
"A total of six witnesses, including the suspect, have had their statements recorded," said ACP Mohd Azam. On Wednesday , a man in his sixties fell to his death after a biker collided into his high-power motorcycle on the SUKE Highway.
