The mother of two persons, who have been tagged in the case of missing cockfight enthusiasts or sabungeros, has filed criminal and administrative cases against nine agents of the National Bureau of Investigation for the alleged torture of her sons.
Joyce Manio filed a complaint before the Ombudsman for sexual assault, planting of evidence, domicile, torture, graft, grave coercion, grave misconduct, serious dishonesty, oppression, conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service, and sexual assault, among others.
In the 12-page complaint, Manio said that her sons, Nicasio and Nicholes, were taken by the NBI-TFAID in June 2021 and beaten up while under detention.
