Ontario principals are sounding the alarm about a post-pandemic mental health crisis.
The new People for Education survey of over 1,000 principals across Ontario’s publicly funded school boards shows more than 95 per cent of principals say they need more support for student mental health. It also found the number of schools with no access to a psychologist doubled in the last ten years, to about 29 per cent.
The survey was released against the backdrop of numerous reports finding youth mental health got worse during the COVID-19 pandemic.Ctrl+Enter
