A total of 558 personnel from the Northern Police District and Quezon Police District have been allowed to cast their votes for the 2022 national elections during the Local Absentee Voting that started on Wednesday, April 27.

The NPD Public Information Office said 116 Philippine National Police personnel detailed at the NPD headquarters and police stations of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela are expected to vote during the LAV that will end April 29.Meanwhile, 442 police officers from QCPD were scheduled to vote at its headquarters in Camp Karingal from April 27 to April 28.

The QCPD said that the voters were divided into two batches, allowing 221 police officers to vote per day. Maj. Vicky Tamayo of the NPD Special Operations Unit , an absentee voter for the second time, told Manila Bulletin that she took advantage of the LAV since she will not be able to vote in her voting precinct in Marilao, Bulacan as she will be on duty during the election day.

She said that every eligible Filipino should exercise his/her right to choose the next leaders of the country.
