PTPTN recently provided one-off assistance of RM500 each to 462 eligible students from the low-income group at USM.
One initiative is the KPT-PTPTN Prihatin Study Assistance programme that provides subsistence aid to underprivileged students at institutions of higher learning, to help ease their financial burden.
The recipients were all PTPTN borrowers from the low-income group and the aid was channelled to the students’ bank accounts. The Prihatin Study Assistance presentation ceremony was held at USM in conjunction with an USM iftar event.Also present at the event were USM board of governors chairman Datuk Seri Dr Awang Adek Hussin, vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Mohamed and PTPTN chief executive Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid.
