The prime minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to an Indigenous Voice to Parliament in a speech to the Woodford Folk Festival, arguing a successful vote would enable Australia to “find its greatest strength,” and “realise its truest self.”

Picture: Sky News The government has so-far refused to provide details on the design and powers of the proposed body, with Mr Albanese saying only a successful referendum would recognise Indigenous Australian in the Constitution and “ensure consultation on matters that directly affect Indigenous Australians, such as education, health, housing, and justice issues.”
